Rummage comes but once a year! Watch for more news about this popular event for  treasure seekers, tag sale and yard sale fans in Avon CT, Farmington Valley and Greater Hartford.

AVON, CT --- The Avon Congregational Church’s legendary 29th Annual Rummage Sale promises to have treasures for everyone! The popular sale is Friday, March 30 (6 pm - 9 pm) and Saturday March 31, (9 a.m. – 1 p.m). All are welcome. On Friday, March 30, admission is $5 from 6 p.m.–7 p.m., and then $1. On Sat. March 31, admission is $1 and items are half-price. 

           The Rummage Sale features quality items and unbeatable prices: furniture, jewelry, toys, collectibles, house wares, books, Christmas, and more (no clothing). You may find antiques among the tables stocked high with bargains. The Sale is known throughout the Farmington Valley for variety, quality, and tidy arrangement.

            Time to clean out? Donations of items (in good condition, no clothing) are appreciated. Drop off  Sunday March 25 (12 pm. – 3 p.m.), Monday - Wednesday, March 26-28, (9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.), or call the church at 678-0488 for pick up. Those dropping off items on Sunday afternoon will have help from church youth unloading. Please group similar items and label them for the Kitchen, Toys, Books, Linens, Furniture, Electronics/Table Top Appliances, Holiday Decorations, White Elephants, Jewelry, Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, and Special Treasures. Please NO: clothing, large appliances, large exercise equipment, tires, sofas (unless new), mattresses, or computers.

            ACC members are needed to help set up, sell, and clean up. Please call Janet Carville to sign up at 860-677-0115. Times needed are for set up during the week, and working at the sale on Friday, March 30, from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., on Saturday, March 31, from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., and clean up from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

            All proceeds from the Rummage Sale benefit the programs and operations of the Avon Congregational Church. The church is at 6 West Main Street, Avon, at the corner of Routes 44 and 10.
