Visitors at Our Worship Services are Always Welcome
Sundays at 10 a.m. We are an Open and Affirming Congregation
"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." Romans 15:17
Reflecting this congregation’s theological openness, our members come from diverse Christian backgrounds. The congregation is made up of all ages; it has families and singles, students and retirees. We are a welcoming church for people of all ages, backgrounds & lifestyles, who are seeking spiritual growth, learning, and community.
Worship services are planned around the Revised Common Lectionary, a three-year cycle of lessons from the Old Testament, Psalms, and the Gospels and Letters of the New Testament. The Lectionary is a framework for worship and study that is followed by many liturgical and Protestant churches today. Communion services are usually on the first Sunday of the month; and sometimes on the second Sunday. All are welcome to participate. Our blended church services include traditional hymns of the church, as well as more contemporary songs from our supplemental hymnal, "The Faith We Sing". The Folk Group provides music during the service approximately once a month.
Fellowship Hour for Children and Adults at 11:am
Church School: Starts in worship service at 10:00 and then children go to their classrooms during "the passing of the peace".
Children are always welcome in worship services. The Crib Room for children age 3 and under is open Sunday mornings from 9:45 until after worship and the children are is attended by church members.
Parents can also sit with their children in the nursery and monitor the service through the audio system. The Crib Room is located on the first floor in the main hallway.
