For 27 years, an ecumenical group sometimes called “Team Church” has been conducting weekly worship services on Thursday mornings at Avon Health Care Center. Ailments and/or business commitments have left the team short of volunteers. Most needed now are people who can greet patients cheerfully, hand out the sheets with the words of hymns and songs, and join in the singing. If you have experience as a worship leader, that talent can be used too! The time commitment is about 50 minutes, from 10:40 to 11:30. Volunteers do not physically assist patients. To learn more, contact Bob Barton at firstname.lastname@example.org (preferred) or 860-677-0087 (leave message including name and phone number).
